Wine Tasting

A few weeks ago I went to visit my mom in Tucson and together we went to a dinner/wine tasting at the Forty-Niners Golf Club. It was so much fun, and of course, tasted amazing.

Last night Alan and I were sitting on the sofa discussing something….that somehow reminded me of a painting I had learned about in Art History. I tried excitedly to tell Alan all about it, but my memory failed me….The image was clear in mind and I tried to describe the painting, but failed miserably, as the painting was abstract, nor could I remember the name of the painting or the name of the painter. This led to long google search, but without knowing what to search for, it was a futile attempt. This led to a conversation where we both lamented how our brains had forgotten so much. In an attempt to make our brains remember and to learn more about art I would like to try to make a weekly post about some art piece. (more…)

Hello! Lets chat! Do you have any embarrassing vices, you know the kind you that might make you cringe if your friends found out? Well I say its time to get them out into the open.
I have two embarrassing vices, I think that romance novels are a great way to relax. They never have a deeper meaning or complicated plot, or require the use of your brain in any way and they always have a happy ending. My favorite ones, take place in the Scottish Highlands. Should you also have a love of romance novels you can by them here.
My second vice, is that I am embarrassingly addicted to Bravo’s The Real of Orange County and The Real Housewives of New York ( I only like these two, the other spin-offs are not my cup of tea). I think this again falls into the mindless category. After a long day studying sometimes I just want some good entertainment, and seeing these women and their lives both keeps me entertained and coming back for more. What can I say, I enjoy watching watching the drama!
The ladies of the Real Housewives of Orange County
PS.Looks like the blog is now back up and running! Thank you for your patience last week!

This morning a spent awhile browsing through Costplus World Market on a quest for scone mix and clotted cream. I can spend forever in that store. Being there gives me access to many of the things that I miss now that I no longer live in Europe, and lets me try new things from all over the world. Its basically heaven. Anyway, enough rambling, here are some cool finds that the world market has to offer! You can them out either at your local store or online.
I love this windchime, it has great colors and just looks rad!
