Let’s explore the best accessory of all, a confident attitude. I believe that this is very important have in order for people to take you seriously. I also think that it is what makes people stand out to us on the street. What makes a c0nfident attitude? Is it a strong handshake, a determined gait, having good eye contact, speaking well, having the ability to engage strangers or going to pool without stressing over how we look in a bikini? I believe it is mix of those things.

Personally, I know that while I have might have confidence among my friends and in doing things I feel comfortable with, it is difficult to have confidence when I am put into a new, unfamiliar situation. What do I do? Well I am a big believer in “fake it to you make it”. I try to think confident thoughts and remind myself that I can bring something to the table. I also  have some strategies in order to help myself feel confident.

1) try to keep a smile on face, and remember that no matter who I am about meet or see that they are human too. I try to ask lots of questions, because it makes people feel engaged and makes you feel better when you find some common ground.

2) I always try to have have some great lingerie on. It gives me confidence, knowing I look good, even though its just for myself. Plus I always think of the old adage “what if you were in a car accident, and were taken to the hospital do you want to known as the girl with the granny panties on?”

3) Dress to impress. For some reason, I think that being in business attire and heels suddenly gives me a giant boost in confidence! I do believe that they call them power suits for a reason. Love these looks from Nordstrom

4)In general, just try to have clean clothes on, and if for some reason you get got in a less then clean state, make a quick joke and then move the conversation on.

5) Ok, so this is weird but it makes me feel confident if my nails look nice. They either have to be polished or bare, no chipped off nail polish. I feel that chipped nail polish makes me look sloppy, like I don’t pay attention to details or something. Check out these colors here and here
