The Best Relationship Quote EVER
Once upon a time in a magazine, (the exact publication escapes me) there was an interview, which also escapes me, and in this interview I read a quote. I think the quote epitomizes a good relationship. The person they were interviewing was discussing her relationship with her partner and said “separately we are each elements, but when we come together we are a force.” The idea being that each person in the relationship was individually strong and fully capable of standing alone but when these two individuals came together they created something even stronger.
This is one of my favorite relationship quotes. I believe that this is how it should be in a healthy relationship. Every person must be able to be who they are and pursue their own interests (ie be their own element). Then when two people come together who compliment and help each other, they become a stronger force, better than they each were individually. When each person’s love, interests, passions, feelings, emotions, insecurities, plans; all combine, and when each person is able to give, take, receive, teach and learn from the other, an unbeatable force is created.
