I have to say, that this week I have been rather uninspired by fashion, and so have nothing new or exciting to say on the matter. Here are some beautiful people from The Sartorialist to brighten up your Friday.

I am in love with this outfit. The hat, the scarf, the colors, what is not to love?

I wish I could fly off to Brazil, for a tropical getaway. I love the earrings, the dress, and that drink looks amazingly refreshing.

Hello all! What did you do this weekend? Alan and I had a jammed packed weekend of fun. Friday night was our friend’s 21 birthday, Saturday we spendt in bed and out doing errands, as well as learned a new board game called Settlers of Catan (which is so much fun, although I have to say that towards the end it got pretty cut-throat). Finally on Sunday we, went hiking, ate some Ethiopian food, and saw Shutter Island. Needless to say the weekend went by so fast!

Going to the Ethiopian restaurant gave me an intense desire to go traveling. Here is my top seven list of places to visit

Yay! Its the first official Friday fashion post.  So for this week I thought I would focus on one of the physical traits that makes someone fashionable.  Their hairstyle.  One of the first things I notice is people’s hairstyles. Nothing makes someone pulled together like a nice ‘do. It is one of those small touches that can really make jeans and a tee look pulled together vs. the jeans and tee look that says I didn’t have anything else to wear. Here are some things to help make you look more pulled together.

The basics:

• Make sure your hair is brushed and cleaned.
• If your going to do a ponytail make it look nice, not just hair piled on the top of your head.
• If your hair is dyed, especially if it is dyed blond, make sure your roots don’t grow out to much.

More advanced ideas:

• Utilize some nice products/ accessories
• Maybe spray some perfume in your hair;  it will make it smell nice, and if you happen to be cuddling with someone they will be able to catch a hint of your perfume scent
• Experiment, try a new cut or color, or a completely new hairstyle

Have you ever heard of the band Carbon Leaf? I love their song Life Less Ordinary. The first lines of the song are “Live a life less ordinary, live a life extraordinary with me.” I don’t know why but I’ve loved those first lines for years. The rest of the song is pretty awesome as well. Check it out
